Community Radio is Safe… For Now!

Tonight, the Federal Budget was released and in there was the funding for community broadcasting

The CBAA last week notified SACBA, and all community radio stations, that the Community Broadcasting Program has been identified within the National Commission of Audit Report as one of the Commonwealth grant programs they recommended to be abolished.

Well after thousands of emails – 25,000 in fact – to the treasurer, our work and commitment to community radio have paid off. Our community radio and TV stations are safe, for now.
