Another sold-out event this year! 140 people from 30 community media organisations came together for 2 days in August for the 39th SACBA Conference and Bilby Awards, celebrating excellence in community broadcasting.
Friday 28th August: Station Tours & Welcome Party
Saturday 29th August: Conference & Bilby Awards Dinner at Lakes Resort, West Lakes.
Our conference included:
Friday evening – Station tours of Life FM, Fresh 92.7 and Three D Radio, with light dinner & drinks at Three D Radio, St Peters, with buses provided from the conference venue and back.
Saturday workshops – Sessions included Youth Engagement, Social Media, Sector Roundup (from APRA/AMCOS, CBAA , CBF & CMTO), Regulatory Compliance, Sponsorship, Strategic Planning and a dedicated Technical Stream with Technorama.
Bilby Awards pre-drinks – Casual networking, with original local live music showcase by San Dragan.
Bilby Awards dinner: 3 course dinner, photo booth, quiz and table activities, and the awards presentations with special hosts Three D Radio’s Pete and Tones.
